The history of our kennel.
In 1994, our first English Bulldog came to live with us, Polytelis Honey Bear, at the age of 10 months. He is the founder of our kennel. David gained several reserve CAC’s in the Netherlands and Belgium. He loved the showring and was furious if we went without him. We still miss our cuddly bear.
In the combination Polytelis Honey Bear and Autumn Queen Polytelis we got first choice. It was Polytelis Lady Guinevere. She became in 1997 Bundesjugendsieger. We were really proud. Guinevere has also achieved good results at shows. Guinevere loved to give all our dogs a cleanup. She has raised many of the puppys. She was a super (grand)mother. Even at 11 years old she defended her family with all the power she had still in here.
From the combination Polytelis Lady Guinevere x Hellendael Bristol Casanova our Glimmer Friends Lucid Lucille was born. Lucille was till her death the leader of the group. Her favorite spot was on the sofa. She died at the age of 10,5 years. Lucille did not enjoy to go to the dogshow. But she achieved her qualifications. Until last year, at the age of 9 years she went to the dogshow of KC Hardenberg. She has 10 minutes barked (little huskier than it used to be) of fun. She even got Excellent from the judge. She was a proud (grand)mother, no less than 5 of here offspring joined this day. From the combination Glimmer Friends Lucid Lucille x Midnight Special van ‘t Weerpad, Glimmer Friends It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll (Melody) was born. Click here for the page of Melody.
From the combination Dutch and German VDH Champion Glimmer Friends It’s Only Rock ‘n Roll x Merriveen Thats Mine, Glimmer Friends Rough and Rocky (Floyd) and Glimmer Friends White House Blues (Bumble Bee) were born. Click here for Floyds page or click here for Bumble Bee.
Beginning in March 2003 Angel in My Heart van ‘t Weerpad (Angie) came live with us. Angie has very good parents. We were very happy with her arrival. Out of the combination Angie x Kenmilquin Dirty Den By Mdenapoli we held Glimmer Friends Gypsy Queen (Danica). Unfortunately, Angie kept feeling a strange lady in the family. The first few years, all our ladies lived very well together, but we noticed more and more that Angie found she had to be the leader, she wanted our attention to herself, she became very envious. We have therefore taken the difficult decision to find new family for Angie. That happend, she blossomed and she is very happy, being the only dog in her house. Click here for the page of Danica.
